Our hope is built on nothing less…
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly trust in Jesus’ Name.
On Christ the solid Rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand;
All other ground is sinking sand.
When darkness seems to hide His face,
I rest on His unchanging grace.
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.
His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the whelming flood.
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my Hope and Stay.
When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh may I then in Him be found.
Dressed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.
This old hymn reminds us of our past two years. Often times we didn’t understand our circumstances, but as stated in line 4, we wholly trust in Jesus’ name. As you know from previous posts, our visas will expire in February of 2017 and our 2-year commitment with J-life will conclude. After prayerful consideration and guidance from our elder team, we will be returning to the US in January for a few months to determine our next step.
Recently we were asked to join the team at Door of Hope, an orphanage we have partnered with in the past, and help with the construction and development of The Village. As we seek the Lord for guidance, please continue to pray with us. Also, please pray for the people who we consider ‘family’ but inevitable will have to say good-bye too. Our hugs already seem to be a bit tighter, and my eyes are already filled with tears.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for your commitment to the Lord and His work in South Africa these past two years. As we stand in awe at all of the amazing opportunities we were given, we fully understand the tangible acts of service were a extension of your hand. As we moved forward, we will update the blog and continue to post on instagram. We are excited to see where the Lord will lead us, and are grateful for His amazing love and grace each and every day.
Thank you again for serving with us in South Africa.
